We encourage young athletes to play multiple sports and offer 1 and 2 day options during the week to accommodate busy schedules and to prevent burnout. OUR STAFF AND COACHES

- Is this a Baseball Academy? It depends how you define “Academy”! This program is not affiliated with a school and takes place after school hours. Like most baseball academies, the purpose of CAS College Prep Program is to help players accomplish their goals of playing college baseball.
- Why is it $3,800? The business model of The Dome is to provide a state-of-the-art facility and professional coaching, at an affordable price. We believe our facility speaks for itself and have been told by many in the baseball world that it is the nicest indoor baseball facility in Canada. In our opinion our coaching staff is more important and impressive than our facility. We believe great coaches should be compensated for their service.
Cost breakdown:
- $3,456 Training 216 plus hours x $16/hr (Includes facility and coaching costs)
- $120 CAS Athletic Gear
- $120 Custom Prairie Sticks Bat
- $105 Dome Membership ($600 value)
- Why wait until Jan to start the 13U Age Group? Ultimately it is a family decision, but we encourage younger athletes to play a variety of sports. The last thing we want is for an athlete to get burnt out and we consider the fact that most players at this age do play multiple sports.
- Will you guarantee my son will play college baseball and get a scholarship? We wish it was that simple. Athletic development is a long process with no guarantees at the end of the road. The Dome President, Noah Welch, when asked why he came out of retirement to try and make the US Olympic Hockey Team said “I could live with going for it and not making the team. I couldn’t live with not going for it and not making it.” The Dome’s motto is Dream Big. Pursue Excellence. We want our athletes to have big dreams and go for it! Our coaches and staff will do whatever we can to help our athletes fulfill their dreams and enjoy the journey along the way. One thing we do guarantee is that the athletic development process they go through with us will help them in life in general.
- Why did you add a day to the program this year? The goal of the CAS College Prep Program is to help players maximize their potential and play college baseball. Did you know that on average players in the Midwest get 400 competitive at bats from April-July and players from southern US states get roughly 1,000 competitive at bats? We look at what the best baseball programs in North America are doing as a measuring stick for us. Our coaches understand what it takes to play at the next level and unanimously agreed that the players needed more. More coaching, more reps, more strength and conditioning, and more mental toughness sessions.
Description: The CAS College Prep Offseason Program is for athletes who are playing baseball as their primary sport and are dedicated to maximizing their potential. Players will receive professional instruction and guidance from the CAS coaching staff and The Dome staff. All coaches and staff are committed to do everything they can to help the players accomplish their goals and to have a positive impact on the players lives through baseball. Our coaches will develop the person and the player, by focusing on The Dome’s 5 Pillars of Athletic Development model- technical, tactical, physical, mental, and character/lifestyle. The program is scheduled to properly incorporate a seasonal throwing and hitting program, Strength/Conditioning/Speed development and competitive game elements as we progress towards the regular season.
