Coach Jarrett Burzuk

Coach Burzuk grew up playing football in Red Deer. His first time playing was in 5th Grade for the Peewee Steelers during their first year of operation and has played the Quarterback ever since.

Moving on to Hunting Hills for Bantam and High School he played for the Lightning and also for three midget (Spring) teams, first with the Battle River Shock, second with the Leduc Ti-Cats and third played for the Central Alberta Prairie Fire. Since high school, he continued playing football, recently completing his 5th season for the Central Alberta Buccaneers as a Quarterback/Offensive Coordinator.  ‘Burzzy’ became the Starter in 2019, and earned the honour to be voted the 2019 AFL Offensive MVP.

Coach Burzuk began coaching in 2014 with Peewee Steelers as well as helping part time at Hunting Hills High School both for the Bantam and High School teams. Spring 2014 he was quarterbacks’ coach for the Battle River Shock (Camrose).  He has also Team North Senior Bowl staff.
