Gabe Simon

Gabe spent his freshman and sophomore off seasons with the Edmonton Prospects Academy. He played his 2018 summer with the 15u AAA Red Deer Braves. In June 2019 he made the full summer move to play for the 16u Edmonton Trappers for half of the season and and got called up to the 19u Trappers for the other half.  His junior off-season was spent playing under Head Coach, Mike Johnson, at the 5 Tool Baseball Academy in Edmonton. The following summer he made the 18u AAA Braves in Red Deer. Once Baseball Alberta cancelled the 2020 season he spent his summers training here in Red Deer with teammates. Gabe decided to make the full move down to Okotoks to spend his senior year playing for the Dawgs. In March 2021 Gabe signed to play baseball at Williston State College in North Dakota. Before moving down south for school, Gabe spent his senior summer playing for the 18u AAA Okotoks Dawgs and won the Baseball Alberta Elite League tier 1 championship as the starting shortstop for the team. After his first semester playing college baseball Gabe decided to hang up the cleats and begin his coaching career. He spent the 2022 summer as an assistant coach for the 13u AA Sylvan Lake Mariners.
