Dylan grew up in Lloydminster playing minor baseball with the Northwest Prairie Pirates. He then attended the Badlands Baseball Academy in Oyen, AB for the remainder of high school. Dylan went on to play at Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY as well as the Prairie Baseball Academy in Lethbridge, AB. He also played with the Moose Jaw Miller Express and Lethbridge Bulls of the WMBL.
